This tutorial will show you how to use Samba to share a directory on your Linux machine across your network, accessible by Windows, Linux, and Mac machines. The process takes less than five minutes, and by the end you should immediately see the file server through browsing your Windows network. (This and more at www.linuxhaxor.net) This is not the most secure way to share files via Linux (but you can configure Samba for greater security), and is suitable for a home network without unwanted guests. you can also type “testparm” (after /etc/init.d/samba restart) this will dump your SAMBA service definitions on terminal and your shared folders

You are so smart and sexy.
You are really good at what you’re doing. That’s what I like.
You know LINUX too!!! Damn, that’s my kind of lady. Because of you I know how to use Samba.. I’ve been trying to figure how to use network sharing over Linux Operating System and you solved the problem. BTW, I just subscribed to you. You go girl!

how to share files between 2 ubuntu computers using a crossover cable, thank.
thanks a lot.
Hey guess what! I tried, but i gave up. XP have by far the best “easy” file sharing by my experience, and it even works. Considering even to install XP on my vista laptop. Sounds stupid, but if it works, then i can share both ways flawless.
Nixie, you’ve done your homework, i’ll give you that, but windows is what i’m used to. Great vidz btw, you really know what you’re doing, so keep it up;)
I would just love to get some Nikkie wallpapers!
You are seriously the cutest redhead on the tube so nothing under five stars!

I put samba on the desktop, then launhed a konsole an its saing that it cant find the files. Do I have to change how you have you dir pointed
cool video
Your so beautiful I like your booooobs..
thank you it has help alot
Great video!! I wanted to let you know (and anyone else) that the only problem I ran into was that smaba would not apply permissions to DIRs that I copied into the “myshare” folder, thus causing them to be stuck…and unable to be deleted.
All thats needed to fix this is to go back into the smb.conf file and add
create mask = 0777
directory mask = 0777
under the [My Share] properties
