Knowing the Categories
You may deal with various types of chaotic behaviors including verbal harassment or bad language, object throwing, horse playing, ignorance, moving around, bullying, or even attacking. These can lead to destructive behavior as you don’t do anything about it. The key is to prevent such chaotic behaviors manifested. Identifying such chaotic behaviors will allow you to prevent further indiscipline and destructive condition through creating your own bus rules.
Creating the Rules
The prevention needs you take immediate control of your bus, you’ll need to create the rules applied in the bus to everyone on it. You must declare, socialize, clarify, apply. And enforce the rule to the student in a discipline. It may take sometimes and repetitions, but it the end, it should work. As the rule is applied, then the enforcement become the key role in handling this issue. Confronting the Violation
The violation of the rule should be instantly confronted as the part of rule enforcement. At this point, you’re not allowed to show tolerance in any violation including the small one. You can apply a warning quota like 2-3 times before you go more assertive. In fact, the students will take our authority as bus driver and rule maker as you apply immediate response to any signs of chaotic behavior. You need to be persistent at this point.
Effective communication
You should be able to communicate effectively with the students in order to show the authority and take control of the bus. It may require custom or personal approach to communicate with different types of students. However, just do what you can, your effort will be repaid as you take a role in education.
